Local songwriter Michael Trent (of The Films, Shovels & Rope) releases his second full-length solo album on the cooperative Shrimp Records imprint.

Local songwriter Michael Trent (of The Films, Shovels & Rope) recently released his second full-length solo album on the cooperative Shrimp Records imprint. The 11-song collection The Winner is a twangy mix of melodic country, Americana, and pop-rock, with additional vocals from wife and bandmate Cary Ann Hearst. Veteran blues/alternative rock band The Black Crowes are heading to Daniel Island in Sept.

Veteran blues/alternative rock band The Black Crowes are heading to Daniel Island this summer, headlining the Say Goodnight to the Bad Guys Tour in celebration of the 20th year anniversary of their 1990 debut multi-platinum release Shake Your Money Maker. Led by the brothers Robinson, the Crowes will release their first ever double album of all acoustic material on Aug. 3. They perform at the Family Circle Cup Stadium (161 Seven Farms Drive) at 6 p.m. on Fri. Sept. 10.…

Beaufort’s Souls Harbor tracked Anxiety Society in Atlanta last fall with acclaimed engineer/producer Rick Beato at the helm.

Hard-rock/alt-metal quintet Souls Harbor — the pride of Beaufort — are finally ready to release their latest independently produced studio album. The band tracked Anxiety Society in Atlanta last fall with acclaimed engineer/producer Rick Beato at the helm. They headline a CD release party at the Music Farm on Sat.
